How to understand the authenticity sticker of Chanel

Since 1986, Chanel has had an authenticity label on its bags that provides the date of when the model was manufactured. The values of this label vary depending on the year of manufacture, so special attention must be paid when reading this sticker.

This hologram label is usually on the lower left corner of the bag (This may vary depending on the model). This seal must show a date that matches the year the bag was made. If the bag is very old, the sticker may have fallen off due to use (Although without a sticker, there are also ways to Identify a fake Chanel bag)

Year of Manufacture: 2005-Present

Label Style: Eight numbers printed on the white label covered with transparent adhesive tape with two CC logos. The label has "X" cut lines that prevent it from being removed without causing damage. "CHANEL" appears on the right side of the label. The 0s have strikethroughs and the 1s have small flourishes at the base.

Year of Manufacture: 1997 - 2005

Label Style: Seven-digit serial number printed on the white label covered with transparent adhesive tape with two Chanel logos. X-shaped cut lines, CHANEL is written on the right side of the label. Gold dots appear on the sticker. The 0s have strikethroughs and the 1s have small flourishes at the base.

Year of Manufacture: 1994 - 1997

Label Style: Seven-digit serial number printed on the white label with the Chanel logo. A translucent layer covers the label. The 0s have strikethroughs and the 1s have small flourishes at the base.

Year of Manufacture: 1989 - 1994

Label Style: Seven-digit serial number printed on the white label with the Chanel logo. The translucent layer covers the label. The 0s do NOT have strikethroughs. The 1s have flourishes at the base.

Year of Manufacture: 1986 - 1988

Label Style: Seven-digit serial number printed on the white label with the Chanel logo and cut from the left side. The 0s do not have strikethroughs and the label is larger than those produced in previous years.
